【大纪元2020年03月20日讯】（大纪元记者吴英报导）美国国务院周四（3月19日）提高旅行警告，建议美国公民不要出国旅行，并敦促海外美国人立即返国。
由于中共病毒（武汉肺炎，COVID-19）蔓延全球，国务院周四下午发布通告，将全球旅行警告提高到最严重的第4级：“请勿旅行”，并建议三件事：
美国公民应避免所有国际旅行；
美国公民如果在仍然可以选择商务旅行的国家中，应安排立即返国，除非他们准备无限期地留在国外；
居住在国外的美国公民应避免所有国际旅行。
国务院表示，由于中共病毒疫情严峻，许多国家及地区实施旅行限制和强制隔离措施、关闭边界，以及禁止非公民入境。多家航空公司取消了很多国际航班，几家邮轮运营商已暂停运营或取消了旅行。
“如果你选择出国旅行，你的旅行计划可能会受到严重干扰，并且有可能会被迫无限期地停留在美国境外。”国务院警告说。
3月14日，国务院已授权在世界各国的美国外交官及领事以及他们的家属成员，可以视情况离开当地。
川普（特朗普）总统和加拿大总理特鲁多于3月18日宣布，限制美加之间的不必要旅行，关闭双方边境。同一天，美国国务院发言人说，已暂停在全球大多数国家所有的常规移民和非移民签证服务。
